Mindfulness and mindful play is an integral part of children’s development. It is holistic as it nurtures a child’s overall well-being which impacts their development outcomes.
Mindfulness is a powerful practice as it helps clear the mind and the body of stresses, anxieties and worries, to allow the body and brain to absorb more for learning and development.
It assists individuals to concentrate, focus and be in the current moment.
Mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind such that requires focus and concentration. We have curated a range of mindful and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) resources here to encourage mindfulness, these include; the calm of colouring in, the concentration of finishing a puzzle, balancing, sorting and patterning, as well as breathing focuses such as yoga.
